99 dodge cummins wont start when hot.
after a year of messing with intermitent starting problems its seems like it's finely fixed. Two things were the cause, first small leak on top of the fuel filter at the heater wires. Some of you guys said to replace the fuel filter canister? you can fix it! Remove the fuel filter canister from engine open it up, like your changing the filter, turn it over and you will find three small torx head screws remove them, push down on the heat assembly, cut the two wires and replace the O RING !!!! 5 cents. Put back together, butt splice the wires. Done 30 minutes if you take your time. The other was the check valve on the fuel return line 19mm banjoe bolt. Its right in front of the fuel supply line on the injector pump, clean it wd 40 in the hole blow air thru it or better yet replace it #cummins part 3941156, $28.00+- or dodge #5011824aa, $48.00 no wonder the dealers are folding what a rip off...any way just cleaned mine its fine I will replace it later. Two hour drive each way to the parts house. all you parts changers need to learn to fix it...........
