95 4500 how do I get the shifter out?

95 4500 how do I get the shifter out?

I am trying to take out a 95 Nv4500 how do I get the shifter out? I dont see any bolts, the roll pins in the side are just stops for the shifter side to side movement any ideas? thanks

Either you have to us a puller to remove the stick from the stud, or I believe you can rotate the sleeve at the base to release the ball and all.

Some are a real pain. You have to do like stated above. Rotate the sleeve at the base. You have to push it down while rotating. It sucks, and is even worse when you have to put it back on.

Miller makes a tool, might find one on ebay reasonable........

I was able to get it out. I had a set of curved needle nose that I was able to pry down on the lock ring and twist, it worked great thanks for the help.
