i got a 1989 dodge w250 with a 727 tranny and i just rebuilt the tranny like 900 miles ago and when its warmmed up and i go to take off the tranny will kick just in first gear and reverse... i doesnt seem like its slipping but it kick and makes like a banging sound... it kinda sounds like the vavle body engaging and disengiging.. anyone have any suggestions..

 

Will it do it in manual low, I guess when you're taking off?? Is it more like a mule kick or a kangaroo kick???? HA!

Warm, running in neutral, on level ground, get it near the top of the hash marks.
