2006 cummins engine locked

He has 186,000 miles so he is long out of the warranty period.

Having chunks of debris and a runaway engine "dieseling" would say smoked turbo to me.

I would start there and work towards the head rather than away from it.

Where did you find the pieces of Shrapnel? Before or after the intercooler?

Hopefully the pieces of debris stopped there.

it wont matter bet the have already hit the cylinders and have attached themselves to the cylinder wall already. been there done that

warranty has always been 3/36k and 5/100k for the motor someone was yanking your chain on the 12/12

you can pull valve cover and ck valves, if its "locked" it has to be mechanical or hydraulic interference with the piston or crankshaft get someone to ck compression on # 3

12/12 is when they replace parts on the drive train that are out of warranty.
