If you dropped a valve I would think you'd hear it when it happened. Maybe a bad ground on the electrical system? I think there is a discussion on a ground wire that frequently gets rubbed on the passenger side of the motor that causes all kinds of havoc.

It is very hard to get oil AND aluminum chips through the intercooler to the intake with a blown turbo. Was there a lot of oil blow by? Was it making oil? Any loud pop or bang? Any black smoke or heavy oil smoke before it shut down?

Let us know.

A little popping/knocking noise for about 1 minute till I got pulled over, no blowby, no oil under truck ever. TST programmer was not on truck either. Truck has 186,000 miles?

The question never got answered about a warranty. Isn't this truck still under warranty? I would know that first before I tore one of these motors apart, because the moment you do, you paying you own bills that can easily be in excess of $8000
