2006 A/C Compressor FOR MEGA CAB help
I have a 2006 mega cab turbo diesel, THE AC COMP FAILED AT 40,000 miles.
THE DEALER AND DODGE SAID IT WOULD TAKE 2 TO 3 WEEKS TO GET A COMP, IS THEIR ANYWHERE ELSE I CAM GET A COMP FOR A 06?
IT IS UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE DEALER IS DOING THE WORK, THEY CAN NOT FIND A COMP.
I HAVE A 38 FOOT 5TH WHEEL IN SOUTH GEORIGA AND MY TRUCK IS AT THE DEALER IN BRISTOL TN. I HAVE TO MOVE THE TRAILER NEXT WEEKEND AND CAN NOT DRIVE THE TRUCK!

As far as I know there are only 2 types of compressors, one for the gas engines and one for the diesel engine and they are not even close to each other. I had to order one and it took 2-3 weeks. I had zero luck at the wreckers, lots of gas ones but no diesel ones. If it failed you should find the reason why before installing another compressor as they are not cheap.(about $600). If it chewed it's self up you will have to flush the system and change the dryer.
