well what i thought was another lift pump gone bad was really a wiring problem that has me stumped. the lift pump is new and does work when i put a straight hot wire to it. checked the fuses and the relay but no luck. anybody have this problem before?

 

ok checked the codes today gave me apps code but im not sure if that runs in circut with lift pump?

 

Check your voltage at the lift pump after doing the keyswitch bump. Mine shows 11.58 volts.
Some earlier engine computers (ECM) don't apply enough voltage to the lift pump causing them to quit early. You may have to do a battery wire/relay fired off the ECM wiring trick.

 

ok last night we hot wired the lift pump and just let it run and the truck still wont start. its getting some fuel to the injectors but not enough, is the inj pump out.?
