2003 dodge diesel 4x4 trans question??

Ok first of not sure of the trans in this unit..(2003) 5.9L. I had a 98 dodge before never had any problems.. The problem is that this trans acts like a high stall converter... only some times though....I have changed atf (to the +4 type). right off of idle it seems to do this.. the rest of the time no problems. It looks to be the factory trans. And easy miles on this.. 200,000km aprox on truck now.. So anybody out here have had the same problems?? Once you get the rpm's up a bit it kicks in... atf dont smell burnt trans shifts well... I would like to tighten up... ( used to a stage 3 shift kit in a th400) thanks!!

I put in drive... truck don't go any where... I rev up about 500-600 over idle it kicks in. It doesn't do this all the time. It acts like a high stall converter in a drag car.. But I know this don't have it. After that It pulls great.. although the shifts seems sluggish..

Does this happen only first thing in the morning, or from all dead stops?

What is the best way to adjust the so called TV cable ( i think thats what it is) does the lever go to the front all the way or back?? and the spring does it force it forward or back??.. I'm looking on ebay now for a manual... hope that it tells me about it... or maybe some one on here can thanks again!!
