i have a friend with an 01 ctd. It died going down the road and it wouldnt start. he took it to a local shop and they replaced the lift pump and injection pump. they also replaced the crank sencor and injectors. NO LUCK. NEED HELP

 

Might need to relocate the fuel pump (lift pump), if it's in the tank or just outside of the tank. Mid-line would probably work best. The shop did check the fuel filter right?

 

Hes got a fass pump on the rail. and they did change the filter. he also has a bigger turbo with edge comp.

 

I hate to tell you this but they had to replace my injector pump (VP44) twice the 1st rebuilt one was defective...maybe it's the same thing.

 

I had the same problem with mine and it ended up being a broken wire underneath the fuse box under the hood. so try unbolting it and take it out some and on mine it was a red wire. Hope this helps

 

they got it running now but it misses. im starting to think this shop is not qualifyed to work on diesels.
