No kidding. It took 30.22 gallons at the pump for a grand total of 35.

Since you only put 25 gal in, what happened t0 the other 10 or so. Sounds like you may have a pickup tube problem as well.

I have been in the same situation. It was my fuel sending unit went bad. It is an easy fix for only $40.

And that's another reason why I try to refill when the tank reads 1/2 (or ~300 miles).

When I read "2001 Died at McDonalds " the first thing I thought of was clogged arteries.

Well, that makes two sending units gone bad today....Mine just died with 13psi of pressure that quickly dropped to 0. There was 1/4 of fuel showing on the gauge. Funny thing is two weeks ago the truck did the same thing and I replaced the lift pump. Before I changed the pump I had diesel in the garage and I poured it in the tank, changed pump, it started...So right away I put 2 in 2 together and figured it had to be the sending unit so 5 gallons of fuel later it started up.

I was thinking why did he fill up at McDonalds??? That grease is funky. Glad it was something simple and low$$
