2000 CTD Need to Drain Fuel Tank

I am getting rid of my truck and need to drain the full tank of fuel I just put in it. What is the easiest way to empty it out? Will a siphon hose work or do I need to pull lines off or anything like that? Thanks

Use the water drain on the filter- slip a hose onto the short hose, with the engine idling you can let a good amount of fuel run from there without problems (as long as your lift pump is up to par)

Some trucks have a rollover ball in the fill line that prevent getting a siphon hose down. Easy to remove the fill and vent lines from underneath, pull it out from under the fill lid then siphon.

I still haven't figured out why some have the ball and others don't. Could be the difference between years, 3500 or 2500 or maybe even different state laws.
