Seized oil drain plug! 2000 CTD

last year I replaced the leaky factory plug with the heavy duty genos plug with the 9/16 socket boss on it during my last oil change put a dab of rtv on the washer just to be sure it would leak and tightened bolt using a calibrated socket and rachet.
I can't get my genos plug out! using my largest 1/2 drive 18" long rachet and 6 point 9/16 socket I can't get it to bunge, so that means go big or go home right? Anyway the genos gave up the ghost and rounded off the 9/16 boss, so...
Now I'm stuck between dropping the pan to fix it or welding a grade 8 nut to the cashed out genos plug and give a go again. Any suggestions?

I'd try welding a nut to it or drilling it out.

Dropping the pan is a PITA!

You could do like I do on my Inboard/outboard motor in my boat. Shove a tube down the dipstick tube and suck the oil out using a drill pump....

I used a large capacity mity vac to suck the old oil out the dipstick tube, added 10 qts it's half a qt down, so I figured I left 1 1/2 qts old oil in the pan-not something I like but it keeps me from having to do it now before my fishing trip out a state and lets me order a new valve drain from genos and weld a large nut on the trashed genos plug.

I will post my results when oil change times rolls around again
