I purchased Geno's EZ Plug and EZ Tube for my 2003 Ram. I like it because you can drain waste oil into gallon jugs for disposal. Since I travel some 6 month each year, it is difficult to find someone I trust when on the road. This way I can change oil and filter with the EZ change Tube and my filter wrench in about 30 minutes without the mess of a drain container and oil running down one's arm.

;D

Re:Geno's oil drain plug ?

I've got the drain plug with the nipple on it; I put it on a little over 4k miles ago. I'll let you know how it goes in a couple of weeks when I change the oil using it. I have a 5 gallon container that I use to take the oil to the recycler. I'll just put the hose on the nipple and in the jug and open the valve, no muss no fuss.

Some folks worry about the nipple may stick down too far putting it in harms way, and other real-**** types have noted that some versions of the quick change valves threaded bodies are longer than the threaded portion of the oil pan that may prevent all of the oil to drain out. I'm not worried about any of that.

I have the Fumoto drain valve from Geno's. I love it. Have had it in for almost 2 years, hes never leaked a single drop. I safety wired the valve closed, so when I'm offroading, I'm less likely to snag it on a bush or something and drain all my oil out on the ground.

Here's a pic.

Tom

TomGolden I have the same drain valve. 2 years on the truck. Have you noticed that the lever has to be moved back, up and out of a slot before it will open? I like the idea of the wire on the 4X4 side, but for street use it's like wearing a belt with suspenders. Good Pic. OverFuled
