whats the adverse effects of pluging the fuel pressure reliefe valve on an 06 common rail system. my prv was leakin fuel pretty heavily at an idle , i was told it shouldnt release pressure until around the 26k psi mark . ive got a programmer for an 05 common rail can i use it on a 06

As a last resort/ patch until replacement is found maybe cap but turn any pressure box off and basicly put truck into limp mode. Depending on what programmer you have you maybe able to use it, go to the makers website and you should be able to look itup and see what years it will work on.
