05 3500 popping nosie

i have a 05 3500 i changed the oil in it yesterday and today i notice that after i shut the motor off if u wait a few seconds you hear a loud popping sound it sounds like the exaust maifold but its really loud any ideas thanks

It's not the usual metal ticking when an engine is hot and in it's cool down process? Only other thing I could think of besides that would be a cylinder holding compression and a valve not seating well, letting it go.

the best way i can describe it is like a spring letting losebut the truck starts and uns great

Try another oil filter.
Maybe the bypass spring inside is defective.
