Unhappy 03 FORD shutting off while going down the road!!/??

I have a buddy that has a 03 F-350 SRW with the 5-6spd manual--- . He was driving down the road and the thing just shut off like you pulled the power to a TV-- . He turned the truck off and back on real fast and it started back up and ran fine. This has happened to him a couple of times in the past 2 weeks. It lites the Check Engine light, but as soon as he starts the truck back up it goes away. This has happened to him at a stop light also. I was thinking that it could be the speed sensor in the tranny causing this because I had the same problem with a Manual Dakota. What do you guys think? If anyone can pull up the codes for a 2003 7.3l PowerStroke I would appreciate it!!! Thanks, JB
