99 CTD, truck died while driving down the road.
Driving home from work the other night and the truck just died, all electricals working just fine just no engine. Motor cranks but wont fire.
I brought a code reader from work tonight figuring I would have a ton of codes but to my surprise none.
Truck has 220k on it.
4" Exhaust
Edge comp box
Any idea's?
Mike

Can you hear the lift pump run if you just bump the key? do you have a fuel pressure gauge? the lift pump should run for 25 seconds if you bump the key, if not then thats your 1st problem, also did you check all relays? I do believe you have one for the fuel pump under the hood, as well as for the lift pump, you can also crack a fuel line and crank to see if any fuel comes out, if the lift pump does in fact work and you crack a line and get nothing, then I would suspect a VP, this is just my .02, goodluck, one more thing, if your Comp is tapped then unhook it and try to start it again.
