03 dodge

Hello i have a 03 250 hp dodge that droped a valve and killed the block and head can i use my parts on a 2005 325 hp and make it run in my 2003 i have both motors complete thanks for your advise

use all of the 05 if its complete the only thing differnt about these motors that i know of is the 4x4 motor mounts are are different on the drivers side then the 4x2

I should be able to leave everything on it then just plug my 03 250hp ecu and it should run hopefully man that would be sweet thanks

No, they are not interchangeable at the plug and play level. They use different ECM's and PCM's, and the new engine's CP pump's electronic signature will not be recognized by your older PCM. Call your local Cummins Service Center and they have an inexpensive adapter that will allow you to use your newer CP fuel system with the older electronics, it is also legal in the communist states of Oregon, Washington and California. It is also sometimes possible to blow a new load into the PCM and get it to accept the older pump, but it depends on the software versions of your 03, and the serial number of the CP on the 05. The Cummins folks are normally very helpful, and their advice is free.

Thank you i will call tomorow i do know i need to use my turbo because the 05 has a electronic wastegate and the 03 doesnt

put on all the 03 electronics on and it worked perfect glad to have my tuck back

You happen to notice any strange noise prior to to the dropped valve???

no it was running perfect went to my mother in laws funeral never started again i still blame her for it

Dude, that is harsh. Funnier than a persistent rash too. That is one of the few times I have actually laughed out loud.
