p0237 and limp mode

Hey, I attempted to install a smoke switch last night on my 05 CTD and it has a smarty jr, and 5" turbo back exhaust.

Now I took everything off as it didn't seem to work and set the map wires back to stock, and now I have a p0237 code and the truck is in limp mode because it has no power at all. I try to reset it with the smarty jr. and the code won't reset, just stays present.

How can I fix this, and or will the code go away

Well here's the deal. Originally I had wired the two wires together and into a switch, but a switch with power and ground. I tripped 8 codes, and then reset them, but 1 stayed on. a P0273 code. It's a MAP sensor low voltage code. Well I rewired everything to how it was before, and now the truck is in a limp mode, and won't kick out of limp mode. I re-spliced the wires to ensure a good connection, and nothing. I can't seem to get rid of this code.

Could it be a fried MAP sensor

Thanks

Chris

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
And it could be a fried ECM also.

Wouldn't there be more codes present if it were a fried ECM? I know on Honda's if you fry the ECM then you have many more codes present

That is for MAP Sensor Voltage Too Low...I had my check engine light come on in my 99 last night, dead pedal, wouldn't go anywhere at all. Ran through the truck with a scan tool today to find..

DTC Detected in ECM
Map Sensor Voltage Too Low (the P0237 code I believe)

Soo I cleared the codes, truck instantly got it's rpms back and I drove around, and so far so good! But I will go to work early to clean my Map Sensor..hopefully that will help.
