Somewhere in the far recesses of my dim memory I remember reading about the fuel line in the tank rubbing against a screw and getting a hole in it and at lower fuel levels sucking air into the system.
The last time it died it was right on 3/4. The previous time it was at 1/3/

I'll try the clear hose trick to rule out any leaks. Thanks for the input.
