Why'd ya buy a 4X4?
Everything that has already been stated X2! Besides, when my wife saw those "pretty red shock thingies" and the TRX-4 sticker on the truck, I didn't have ANY arguements out of her over buying a new truck.
Besides, 4X4 trucks ride smoother than their 2WD diesel counterparts.

I work in the oilfield and it is needed quite often. I use it here and there. I used it the other day pulling my neighbors semi and trailer out of the ditch in front of his house. He had parked it there and it rained and all the water from the town runs down through that ditch and he couldn't get it out. I went over and offered to help him after he had tried for about 20 mins. He asked if I thought I could pull him out and I said oh yeah , it'll get you out. I put it in 4 hi and pulled him out with little effort at all. After I pulled him out he climbed out of his truck with his jaw on the ground.
Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...

Every vehicle I have owned in the last 9 years except one has been 4x4 and it will continue to stay that way. The reasons being just what everybody else has said.
im really thinking about gettign a 2 wheel drive as my next truck...im not gonna be up north anymore as i am gonna move to texas...i just think the 2 wheel drive trucks have less problems with the front end and a smoother ride as well as a couple extra mpg...plus im really starting to like the looks of low 2 wheel drive duallies

If your in Texas and have a 2wheel drive they will make fun of you
It is split 50/50 on the 4x4 4x2 issue.... Girls drive the 4x2's and the husbands drive the 4x4's
......The Brand issue works out like this....
Chevy = Wanna-be-Cowboy-while driving around town in a starched shirt....
Ford = Working in the country when it is not in the shop
Dodge = Primary work truck for those in the country that depend on a truck to get a job done every day....
I like 2WD trucks, but I now think they're best as summer hotrods. Growing up in AZ, that's really all you needed out there with no snow and little rain.
Being an RVer, I'd never have anything but 4WD.
