Re:What oil are you guys using?

AMSOIL series 3000 5w-40, 'specially since it's winter, and stratapore filters. Mobil delvac1 is also a superior oil. Change it every 7500.

Re:What oil are you guys using?

I use a full synthetic ESSO 0-40 oil that is available here in Canada. I just came back from a seventeen state three province trip (9300miles 15000Kilometers) and I had 100 degrees F in Montana and High ninetys for the most part and the oil analysis came back good. I run a Harvard by-pass filter and use the Fleetguard stratopores. I did not add any oil on the trip and my truck and fifthwheel trailer gross out at 20500Lbs. I have run this oil since 1700 miles as it got to cold here for 15-40 I now have 49000kms or 30500 miles.

Well, yeah. Why do you think Cummins is making a new 6.1L V-8 diesel?? It's so that they can replace the PSD in the Fords with the (now similar) Cummins. Duh. : That way....Ford will make a killing on both Dodge AND Ford trucks. ;D

Yes, Delvac 1 is a superior oil, because IT IS 5w-40. Amsoil's series 3000 is a 5w30 ;D
