Delo 400 for me......Rotella T cost me a head gasket that didn't need changing. Had smoke blowing out of the draft tube, dipstick, and oil filler neck. Oil smell in the cab at 65 MPH. Folks more learned than I pointed me toward head gasket.....after changing out a perfectly good head gasket (on the bright side, I'm a LOT more familiar with my top end) I hit on a thread about the additives in Rotella burning off for the first couple hundred miles...... >

 

Delvac 1300 for the 1st change, dealer oil for the second, and for my recent 3rd change back to Delvac 1300. As mentioned in another thread I noticed that with the oil change the engine became noticeably quieter, so now it's 'I don't want dealer oil dammit, I'm a dino Delvac man !', said with conviction, like 'I'm a Dapper Dan man !' :^)

Once it gets 20k or so I'll try a blend of Delvac 1300 and Delvac 1.

 

The cheapest valvoline 15-40 I can find and a $4 Fram filter... ;D

What, Baldwin filters cost too much for you now?

 

Amsoil 15w40 and fleetguard filters. I am very happy with them.

Sam's Club has Delvac 1300 Super 15w-40 for $22 somthing for 4 1-gallon jugs. Just bought three cases so I would have enough for 4 oil changes. Any problems storing some of that for 12-18 months?? Bought the stratapores from Geno's.

Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme and Stratpore filters. Cummins Rocky Mountain is about 2 miles from my shop. ;D

 

My neighbor sells Amsoil and uses it in his truck. He swears it is still good after 15,000 miles. Instead of buying new oil I just pour his oil drains into my truck. :

Of course, if you buy this...I got some other stuff to sell you too ;D

I am actually thinking about using Maddogs oil he drains from his 11 second Ford. Its gotta help

In the end...Its Rotella T and Fleetguards.
