Thinking of trading!

well, I am in a bind, I got a good stout truck, god knows I have stuck enough $$$ in it!{THANKS TO YOU GUYS!!} I have a freind that has a BLACK 98 quadcab shortbox sport with 99 sport bumper&grill 12-valve with a 5-speed 4:10 gears and a new clutch. Clean title with 150,000 miles, No mods other then injectors. Know, I have mine:97 longbox extended cab 4x4 135,000 with a built auto by goerends{as if there is any other!}about 12,000 miles ago and 3:55s and all the mods listed below, and was wondering what I should do?, sell mine and buy this one of his?? I could get it cheap. but,I would have to get $12000. out of mine to make it work. but I cant decide if I want the shorbox. I tow alot, and heavy alot. is the shorbox up to it?, how about the 4:10s? I run 33s on my truck now, and will probably do the same with the black one, if not 305s or 295s, I just cant weigh all the odds!, I know, my extended cab actually has about 8 more inches of legroom then the quad cab,-because of the room in my old 98 gasser,, but my kids are old enough now, that they are crawling in on they're own, and could use the extra doors again., I will see if I can get some pix up to compare to. lets here it. thanks guys

I'd keep the one you have unless your wife is SUPER understanding. You can take the money you'd spend on a new clutch for the other ride and buy yerself that turbo.

I'd stick with what you've got. (Nice truck, BTW) You'll be giving up some wheelbase with the 98, which, if you tow a lot, may prove to be worth considering. Built auto VS stock NV 4500? No contest, IMO. You've got good power and big weight, so you'll be looking at losing 5th gear without the updated mainshaft. Then there's the 4.10's....have you ever REALLY felt like you needed more gear than 3.55? If you have, how many times have you felt that way compared to how may times you were glad you could run fast down the highway without revving the engine to the moon? Anyway, just my thoughts
