Unhappy state inspections in your state?

hey, what are you guys paying for state inspections right know in your state?
also in your state is a 1-ton dually 4:10 cummins considered a comercial vehicle 'cause a state inspection is $60 an hour and a regular state inspection is only $12.50.
oh...and do you also get charged double (or more) on the interstate just for dual wheels. this seems a little nuts but nothin i can do about it if these are just the state laws

$15 in Virginia. I was fortunate enough to meet Tugboatphil and he introduced me to a shop that would pass almost any vehicle with no questions asked. One of my gripes about the Communistwealth of Virginia is their window tint laws. I understand that it is for the safety of the state patrolman if you were to be pulled over. Here again, punish the masses for the sins of a few...

Anyway, my truck is by far illegal here and it passed inspection.

No inspections in Kansas but big cities may be different. Might need smog in cities also but not around here in hayseedville.

The tag required is 12M which means 12,000# FWIW.

When I go on I-44 in OK I have to pay more for dual wheels even if I'm unloaded.

Rt. 66 is more fun anyway.

Nada!

No inpsections! No emmissions for diesels either!

You only have to inspect when a car transfers in MD, and they don't make you when you buy or are given a vehicle from a family member.

Ahhh, 10 bucks ONLY if your vehicle is less than 2 model years old The rest pay 21 bucks. At least diesels are exempt from the OBDII diag hookup

They actually connect the OBDII right to the DMV here in NY and (if you're '96 or newer, gassers only) you fail inspection if the DMV sees your check engine light on

Colorado - $45 for 2 year emissions test. Cars cost $12. Diesels have to be dyno'd cars do not.

We don't have those inspections you speak of. A very few select counties here in Indiana have smog test every other year on gassers but they are thinking of doing away with that. And if you have a gasser pick up and plate it at 10,000lbs or larger you become exempt from the smog tests. i know this from expierience.

No state inspections in Washington State, big surprise, this state is pretty tax happy, guess they haven't thought of it. The county I live in has no emissions testing
Some of the bigger counties do though.
