Can some one please tell me the difference between an 1990 starter and 1994 starter besides the bolt pattern! Is the center of starter off set and is there a big difference in Flexplate size?? I'm having problems with my 94 Diesel 47RH swap to a 90 12 valve and so far I found some web sites on the flexplate say there is no difference or maybe a 1/16" difference.

If your wonderin' about the starter, I have these pics that I posted for another site

The flywheel in the photo would be the size of your 2nd gen flywheel.

This is with a 1 gen starter

This is with a 2nd gen starter

You can see the offset,....
