?? for those with remote starters

I have a python alarm with remote start, and when its cold, it will start and run for a bit and then shut off when the grid heater kicks on. I tried changing it from voltage sensing to tach sensing, and it still does it. I am thinking because the voltage goes down so much with the grid heater turning on that the python thinks something is wrong and shuts it off. thoughts?

Mine works great.

No idea how they hooked it up though.

I did find out this morning that if I hit the go pedal to speed up the idle a bit, it doesn't shut off.

In reading the owners manual, I got the impression that it would shut off if the idle speed changed much.
It does shut off if I hit the brake before putting the key in though, like it's supposed to.

Can you change the voltage range? or tach range?

Oh, mine is a Viper, either a small step up or small step down from the python.

When I did mine, there is a routine that the isnstructions told me to go through so that it programs or remembers the idle tach position when started. Before I programed this mine also started and then stalled out. Check your instructions to see if yours has this feature also.
