ive herd of problems with remote starters not working right when the truck has TST. is this true? cuz im lookin into getting a remote starter put in and i dont wanna have any issues with it when it goes in.

I have both a TST and remote start in my '03. No problems at all. The newer models seem to have some extra electronics,which may bugger up, but I think yours should be fine.

 

need to put a 10k resistor in series on the wire going from crank sensor to the alarm. it's on FAQ's on TST's website. Mine is throwing codes but haven't had time to get it put on yet. just been running the smarty. A few others have put the resistor in with success of no more codes.

 

Mine works perfect with the addition of the resistor. As Kevin said look at the TST FAQ page.

 

I would call and talk to TST on your issues if you can get ahold of them.......
