Seems to me that on the rear-end shot, the bed is not level with the rest of the truck. The passenger side seems to sit lower than the drivers side.
Could it be that the truck may have had a rear-end collision resulting in a rear-bent frame?
With little options, the owner cut the bent frame and fitted a different bed?

I guess its all in what you prefer but whats the use or practicallity of it? Might look better painted if they felt like finishing a job they started
