this should be a crime

this is a crime against a W250 CTD. some body took a perfectly good club cab long bed truck and shortened the frame to fit a ugly step side bed on it. that is a crime agianst our beloved trucks and should be punished.

That means I'm not crazy, at least tonight. I thought I'd seen those pictures on here.

I kinda like it. It'd look better painted. That front bumper is really nice! Im kinda biased on the stepside though. Also, I dont see it as a wasted truck, the space is the same as inbetween a regular beds fenderwells, which I dont know about yall but on mine, they just end up collecting junk and trash. You can still fit the same big items in their as a regular bed, plywood, ATV, ETC.

That's cheating though. Those body style Chevy and GMC trucks were some of the best looking trucks made. 67-72 Chevy and the 1st gen Dodges being right up there. Dodge's stepside = lame.

Put a standard fleetside short bed on that and that would be my ideal truck...the main reason I didn't get a first gen was because they didn't make an extended-cab shortbed. If I had room/money/time...I'd be very tempted. But yes, I'm not a fan at all of the stepside.

And I miss my old '84 regular cab short bed! Wisconsin winters pretty much ate it away though. :-(

Looks pretty clean inside. A paint job should get it looking much better.

I think it'd look better as a reg cab shortbox. Still gotta admire the work that went into it.

1st gens look good. 70's model stepsides look good......but the two put together do not! now if it was a single cab it wouldn't be as bed.....

but i guess im partial to the 70's stepsides seeing i have to little red express trucks and a warlock sitting in our garage back home!!!
