Robbery Suspect Arrested While Picking Up Lost Wallet At Police Station
Police: Man Left Wallet At Crime Scene

POSTED: 12:07 pm CST February 10, 2005
UPDATED: 12:29 pm CST February 10, 2005

EULESS, Texas -- Euless police has learned that the telephone can be a great labor-saving tool in police work.

It also helps when the crooks are doofusses.

Police in the Fort Worth suburb found a wallet left on the counter of a convenience store that had been robbed on January 29.

A few days after the robbery, Joseph Fahnbulleh walked into the Euless police station to claim the wallet after a detective called to tell him someone had found it.

The 22-year-old Arlington man is now in the Euless City Jail on a robbery charge.

Fahnbulleh's bail is set at $30,000.

There's another one we can add to the stupid criminals file. Poor guy... I bet he pleads insanity defense due to stress from exhausting his unemployment benefit.

I hope the jerk down there who stole my checkbook is just as much of a doofus. On one of the checks, he even wrote an address and used a TX DL # to get it accepted. Of course, Lowe's - where he wrote it - accepted the check with my name on it and his DL.... Just who is the doofus?

I always liked the one who went up the convenience stor counter, asked for cigarrettes, handed over his ID and a 20, then demanded the money in the register. He left the store with ~$17 and change, left the smokes, his $20, and his ID with the clerk! I wish all crooks were so stupid.

I'm in construction and value my tools so I park my truck under 2 cameras at night. I have 2 pitbulls inside the house and the cameras have microphones so the dogs alert me if someone is out there and I send the dogs out first before I can get out there. About a week before Christmas my dogs alerted me and I woke up and looked at my monitor just in time to see a guy grab a small toolbox out of my truck that had misc. hardware in it. By the time I got to the back door the dogs already hit the fence barking and chased him away. The cops showed up and asked for a description of the guy so I handed them the video tapes. The detectives watched the video and started laughing. They drove to the guys house and asked him what he'd been up to. After they told him that they had not one but two videotapes of him he confessed and turned in the box minus 2 trays and one tray was empty. Smile you're on candid camera. Apparently this idiot is about 30 years old and has a drug problem. He doesn't have a job and lives with mommy and rides a bicycle. He'll have a new address after court.
