Looks like since GM and FRod have gotten out of the rear wheel drive market for the most part, the Magnum is looking like a viable option for law enforcement. Seems logical to me to have a RWD 5.7 Hemi for pursuit.

It'll be interesting. I think the Magnum is one of the ugliest vehicles on the planet, but for work use like that, it might be great.
As an aside, I find that Dodge styling this year seems to be getting worse. Am I the only one seeing this? The megacab and the looks of the magnum..

Its been talked about around here. The car has enough room and looks good in black.
Dont know whether or not it would be a viable option to the Crown Vic or Chevy Impala as there are some agencies just now putting them into service for testing.
Knowing the guys I work with it would only have two speeds....idle and wide open
Only time will tell if the car is able to withstand the abuse it will be put through

Personally, I like the Magnum better than the Chrysler 300C (although my wife hates both of them).
I do think Dodge really missed it with the new Durango and Dakota.

Methinks I could get over the looks of the Mega Cab, though-- size matters.

I think the magnum and the 300C look awesome. Got to watch a girl speed off a light last night in one of those only to be pulled over by the officer that was sitting in the turn lane on the other side of the intersection.
It was impressive how fast she came off the line.

be cool to have a set of stacks coming outta the hood DM01
The Magnum's don't have trunks, so they'd have to juggle some of there stuff around and secure it from the cons in the back seat and such...
Then again, after riding around in the back seat of a Crown Vic that's got the caging in it, some extra leg room wouldn't be bad. Those things get cramped back there.

I might just have to start a police department in my little community out here so I can get one. With one of these, it wouldn't take too long to go the 2 miles between the two 'city' limit signs. And I'd get to take it home, too.

The Charger is easily the worst of DC's new vehicles, even worse than the Dakota's & Durango's, imho. The 300C & Magnum have grown on me.
A local funeral director is using a black Magnum as a flower car. He also has a late 30's Chrysler that's used as one on ocassion during the summer months.
