How about a hot air warning, "Mr. 10K posts and counting"!

im supprised i haven't gotten one for my vw.

at night time on a cold night at 100 km/hr in 4th gear people avoid me. thats the only way i can accelerate to 120. 52 hp is not fun on the highway. but it is fun if someone tail gates you.

that law seems to be alot more relaxed in toronto it seems.

Does it count if you have gotten a ticket for "excessive smoke issues"?

I passed, but am also a registered smoke offender...

Only if somebody narcs on you, and there are a lot people in NM that have a perchant for ratting out a big, noisy, intimidating and smokey truck.
We are exempt from emmissions testing in general.

I got one from TxDot for my '94 Saturn. I was really edited by admin at first, then after reading the letter, It was kind of funny. I thought one of my co-workers had called to screw with me. But it was the same time my Saturns computer was shorting out. I was working on the Saturn, so after replacing some parts and the computer, it was running normal again.
The letter stated that my vehicle was seen at a certain location and time smoking. The funny part of the letter is that it says nothing will be done, and that it was just a public complaint and has no legal action.

Thats increadable, Guilty until proven Innocent... What a crock.

I have hazed out the highway on an onramp only to be given the wave by a jacked up PSD.. He was holding his nose and laughing at the same time. At least he had a sense of humour..

The whole reason this cracks me up is b/c of the fact we are exempt from emissions so it's kind of ironic if you think about it. Some tree-huggin environmentalist played politics to get this "group" organized for the betterment of society. And in actuality they are wasting a tree by sending me a paper to notify me that I made some hybrid driver upset....oh how I love irony... Wait did I mention that I'm a registered offender?? Sounds so derogatory yet high-larious all at the same time...

I used to be a major excessive smoke offender in my 01. It had a severe smoking problem. I got pulled over by a hi-po for emitting out excessive smoke once. A buddy of mine(who has a truck with 325 horse injectors) was driving it through town with me in it when we were stopped. The patrolman said it smoked wwwaaayyy too much. My buddy said that it had a bad air filter on it and the patrolman bought it. Then he said, "You know what, I seen u in a truck just like this one the other day and It was smokin even worse than this one." My buddy told him that that one had a REAL bad air filter on it. Then the patrolman said "Well boys lets get some new air filters on these trucks, cuz we can't be having all this smoke all the time, it's hard to see through it and it could cause an accident." Then we said "Yes sir, well get right on that."
He let us off just as easy as that. My 07 doesnt have a smoking problem just yet but it is soon to have a smarty smoking problem.

True. Brett cracks me up.

It doesn't surprise me about a smoking ticket on Preston in Dallas. I've been there a few times and never want to go back.

So far I've had two death threats, one yankee yell at me, and agrivated people behind me.

One of the death threat situations was bad. The guy chased me down yelling, cussing, and threatening all kinds of stuff while his kids rode in the backseat listening and watching the whole thing. That upset me more than anything.

Some crazy lady from Michigan yelled at me for 10 minutes one night and didn't even believe that my truck was a diesel. she proudly stated "my state has emissions laws" and I told her "my state does too just not on MY truck!"

the other death threat situation was from a moron in jeep that tired to race and lost....so ofcourse he was mad
