Pluggin in the truck?
i try and plug it in when it gets below freezing...no need to molest the truck if u have access to an outlet....but if u dont then you should be alright unless it gets exceptionally cold ..make sure ur batteries have enough crankinf amps in them....i had one occasion this winter in buffalo where i left it unplugged over night and the motor just couldnt turn over fast enough...just once ...thats not bad for my area

Don't mean to belabor the point, but how was I not helping him out.??? I used the emoticons in an effort to be humorous/sarcastic: which you obviously didn't get.

i also got an outdoor timer but mine was from MENARDS for about the same price ($10) and i got a heavyduty cord that is for well below -45 degrees F. oh and the timer said heavy duty on it too but just make sure that it says that and it has a cover on it so moisture doesn't affect it.
i also do two hours before i leave ,actually, a little more it kicks on a 5:00a.m. and i leave at 7:45a.m.
it works great cause then i don't waste electricity and i don't have to get up super early. i would recommend it
I plug mine in all the time I have it on a timer 2 hours is lots of time. I like to plug it in so that it does not have cold unburnt fuel in the cylinders when it is warming up. Unburnt fuel can be hard on the rings as it washes the oil from the rings and the oil stays clean longer.

It's in the small compartment in front of the passenger seat.
