Plowing with dually dump 2X4 drive
Plowing with dually dump 2X4 drive
Any of you guys plow with this set up...dually with a dump body with only 2WD? Is it effective? or? I understand that you may have to load up the dump quite a bit to have some traction. Chains etc. But I just find it hard to see happening. Is this common?
Thanks
Thanks
I dont have one but I am quite certain there is a reason you never see a 2 wd truck plowing snow. I have driven 2wd duallys in the snow before and literaly got stuck in an inch of snow. Sounds like a real bad idea to me.
It wouldn't be great, put it that way.
Perhaps doable in some situations, definitely with chains, but who would want you teraing their parking lot up with chains?
2wd does not perform super well in snow.
That said, don't forget that heavy duty highway plow trucks are 2wd,
