Oil Filters ?

Have a Frantz for 300k now and it is good. I don't like dirty oil even if analysis says it is clean. Has anyone used the FS2500 especially if you use it commercially I would like to hear what the visual perception is to color and if you are happy with the analysis, also what the numbers are if available. Is there anything else on the market that does as good a job of keeping the oil clean. Doesn't matter how often filter is changed mine is still black on the stick. Yes I work it hard. Constructive input appreciated.

It's a diesel. I have never seen a diesel engine with more than a week on an oil change that doesn't have black oil, even with a bypass filter. It's the nature of the beast.

I guess then you may not want to own a 2004.5 or newer engine as they can turn the oil black as soon as you start the engine do to them having multiple injection events.

Oil color has NOTHING to do with the lubricating properties.

Filters

Good points guys, was hoping to find someone who had spent the big bucks and see if the cost is justified. I really can't complain about the frantz, but the ad bragging about clean diesel oil on their site was enticing.

Some other guys on other sites have the FS. They said there oil wasn't any cleaner looking than before the install. Your Franz is possible the best filtration possible, along with Motorguard.
Stick with it.
