My friend has a 2003 ctd also and he thinks I'm crazy for changing my oil every 4000 miles. He changes his every 8-10 thousand.
How often do you guy's change your oil??

 

Every 3-4,000. Not exact cause I do it when I can between those miles. Speaking of which I have to do it this weekend. Also I don't run synthetic.

 

My dealer recomended changing oil between 5000 & 7500 miles so I'll change it every 5000 to be safe.

 

5 to 6000 usually. One of them gets away from me every once in a while(the wife's)but that's about where I usually change them.

 

As a matter of fact, I just changed my oil today. I do it every 5,000 miles. My owners manuals calls for 3,000 if you do heavy constant towing, etc. and 7,500 for light duty service. (It may actually be 7,000. Can't remember for sure.) At any rate, I figure if I chang oil about halfway between the two suggested intervals I'd be safe. Buzz

 

well since I never tow anything and it's 99% highway miles on my truck I try to use the non severe service schedule in my owners manual wich is every 12,000km (7440 miles)

I always make sure to use a good oil like shell rotella or esso xd3

I usually end up changing it every 10,000km (6200 miles) or so just cause it seems to work out that way when I'm back home (I borrow my dad's garage)

 

Every 10,000 miles and sample the oil...I use dyno oil...oil samples always look good...I do change the oil filter every 5000 miles and I change the fuel filter at 10,000 miles

Last oil change I was a little worryed the oil sample lab called and asked for another sample but everything was ok

 

I change mine every 10,000 miles.

 

25,000 to 50,000 depending on how I feel.

 

Every 4-5000 so far; but just shifted over to Amsoil and expect to extend the drain interval. Not sure if I'll do the oil sampling thing.

Per the manual....every 7500 miles. Used Rotella T the first time....thinking of switching to Mobil Delvac for the upcoming 15,000 oil change.

 

Oil/Filter @ 5K. Fuel Filter @ 10K

 

Every 5k since purchased in Oct of 99.
