Oil Change Cost At Dealers?
Ive had all my oil changes done by Cummins.
On each oil change, I also have them inspect the rubber fuel return line, every other oil change I have them replace the fuel filter, and 4th or 5th oil change, I have them adjust the valves.
Each oil change, I have them visually inspect everything for worn belts, cracked hoses, loose clamps, holes in the intercooler boots, etc.
Inspections I usually do as well, but a small comfort to have "professional" eyes routinely going over it as well.
So, I rarely pay for just an oil change as there is almost always some additional maintenance incurred.
With that said, my oil changes usually run between $100.00 and $150.00 each for a normal visit, and can run up to $300.00 for such things as valve adjusts or if they replace the fuel return line, etc.
Rich.

$44.95 + tax at Hoyte Dodge in Sherman, Texas. That's cheap enough to keep me from crawling around under there and doing it myself. The only problems I've had in the last five years are so is one screwed up drain plug and oil spilled on the engine one time. They also inspect everything under there and let me know if anything needs attention.....which 99.999% of the time it doesn't.

I bought a "Diesel Essential Maintenance" coupon book from the local Dodge dealer, 28 coupons good for 7 years (every 3500 miles to 100K). Comes out to about $18 a pop for oil, filter & lube. They use mopar oil & filters. I sure can't crawl under the truck and do it for that price!

$97 at a local Dodge dealer for my 06'. I let them do the first one. All others I've done. Some people have had issues with the oil filter being too tight from the factory. Didn't feel like wrestling with it.
Was $26.95 until a couple of months ago then they went up to $30.95 at Helfman Dodge at I-10 and Silber in Houston, Texas. At that price they will continue to do mine. Just too easy to drive over at lunch and be done in 30 minutes. I always try to bug one of the salesman while I am waiting. Always look for the new guy and see just how far out on a limb I can take him.
I went to Benny Boyd in Lamesa and got all but the air filter changed for $129. I remembered being charged like $58 plus $12 for inspection at All American in Midland and similar at Benny's before. But that was when my bumper to bumper was still warrantied.
I paid $36 for my first oil change at wallyworld. But then I found this site and had to go get the fram filter off. They did use rotella oil though. I think that is cheap, but my expensive motor isnt gonna get wrecked by those guys with ASE training
there, so I do it myself now.
