Unhappy need to know

I had some time to wast, wife was in the docs , right next door was a ford dealership, yep i went over to look, this is what the the man there told me,, ford owns cummins, is this true then I asked if thats so why one cant get a cummins in the ford, he then told me ,never becouse ford has a better motor and thats why you never see a cummins in the ford is this true, i dont know all about this but i just walked away head down

Ford actually teaches their salesmen to say Ford owns Cummins but they use the Powerstroke engines because they're better. This is what keeps this myth going.

... even after the world has stopped running on fossil fuels, this rumor and others like it will continue to circulate. As long as dealer salespeople train dealer salespeople.
If you want to set them straight, print the response from Cummins by following Infidel's link above. Stick a pink post-it note with the salesperson's name on it and give it to the office clerk or receptionist and leave. By the end of the day, the memo or a copy of it will find it's way to everyone up front and many in the service dept. Nat

I agree.. I just about popped a mechanic I was working with as he wouldn't here anything other than Ford Owns Cummins..

I was so P-Oed I tried to get him to call Cummins himself.. Moron..
