How Much Does A Transmission Weight?
I need to ship an automatic tranny. How much do they weight?

auto maybe 450 to 700 i would think

I had always thought they were somewhere in the mid 300s. If you take the torque converter and set it down on top of a bucket to let it drip out for at least a full day, it will lighten it up a few more lbs.
