How do you start your truck?
If it has been plugged in the WTS is short duration. WTS off, then start.
If I got time, like have to wait for wife, or kidletts. WTS off, key off, on, off,on look if a code. Sometimes a P0500, P1693. Bump starter, check fuel pressure, All ok, start up. Load up passangers, put it in B for boogie, and away we go.
If in a hurry, WTS off and go.

It all depends on what is going on. I usually get in, turn the key to on, do whatever I need to do to get situated for the day (throw the laptop case over on the passenger side, start the blue tooth headset, etc...) and then start it up. Could be two seconds, could be 15, it all depends on the day and the destination (office vs. the lake, LOL).
Mine will start without a key, hahahaha. maybe b/c its 15 years old and beat.
I usually wait for the WTS to go out, even though my grids are not operable. just a habit. if its over 30, truck usually starts right up, under 30, it cranks for about 20-30 seconds, smoking, caughing, shaking, and sputtering, and finally can run on its own. the neighbors in my apartment complex love it, especially at 4 am when it goes out to plow
