When they pry the keys off my cold dead fingers.. aint no way no ones gettin my truck!! to hell with EPA, if yall try to please everyone, no one gets pleased... thats the way it works,
As far as the 7.3's go, believe me i know... Two of my uncles have 2003's one has an approximate 400 HP with some upgrades, and the other closer to 300, But dang with 53 foot car haulers, they are beasts!! they pull real hard and run like heck, i aint got nuttin against a 7.3.. for a ford thats the way they should be....

i dont like the feel of the new 6.0...u gotta rev it to get it to go and stay up there over 2500 rpm...sounds like a hair dryer.....the 7.3 was a nice motor once u put in the money to get the glow plugs, injectors and oil eating fixed....it sounded nice and in stock vs stock cummins vs 7.3 it fared well...id never go over 350hp with one though

One of my subcontractors for plowing is a tech at a local ford dealership.
As of yesterday, there are 7 new SD's in for auto tranny case cracks, 3 more with reverse gone.
A whole bunch with turbo problems, a few with injector problems, and a few more that need complete engines.
His exact words, "Glad I bought a Dodge with a Cummins, 2 years and only one time back to the dealer for a problem with one of the rear doors sticking"
I think i'll stick with my Dodge, until of course they come out with a 4500,5500.
Then it will be a 5500, Cummins, 6 speed with a L-pack Dump.

I drove all 3 just to make sure.
The Chevy hd does'nt have the power , the auto shifts strangely, and interior ergonomics are terrible.
The Ford is noisy, underpowered, nose heavy handling and their fit and finish is severely lacking.
No V motor will ever match the torque per liter of a straight six.
All the Ford, and Chevy guys won't be able to keep up with me on the twisty roads in the north slope of the Sierras. The nose heavy squishy handling of your rigs will see to that!
When I went to Az last year I talked to a bunch of retired old farts pulling big 5th wheel trailers. "All we see towing anything are Dodges!"
Respect your elders and learn from them!

When you drive a Ford it is mandatory that you seldom if ever use your hand to steer.It looks sooo much cooler and tougher with that wrist just hanging over the wheel.Then again I could be wrong, nail polish probably dries pretty fast then they can go back to driving like a grownup.I suppose those finger grooves on the wheel could give 'em awful blisters after a while though; be careful out there...Mike

I dont kno much bout the 6.0 cept fer that the neighbors was a turd. I liked the 7.3 better. the other neighbor got the 7.3 and its by far twice the truck as the 6.0. and they r practly the same. cept ones the 60 with the edge chip and the other is a 7.3 with a superchip tuner.
