Make them here , send them there . http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/03...get-them-here/
The increased demand for diesel fueled vehicles in Europe and China is part of the reason for higher diesel prices . But because of different refining processes diesel is cheaper than gasoline in Europe .

Whoever says that diesel is scarce because Europe is using more of it has no clue on what's real.
Europe has been using diesel vehicles for decades, they've been at a 80% diesel and 20% gas
I we want to get cheap fuel we should follow Venezuela example, check this out:

Fuel is cheap when the government subsidizes the cost to keep the natives from getting restless.

I have read, a few years back, that Europe made a decision to get away from gasoline and push drivers to diesel because of it's efficiency. Gasoline usage has stsrted to decline over there and diesel use has risen. So they get more diesel vehicles and we get ethanol (stupid Flexfuel). .

They're finally going to start selling TDIs and MBenz diesels here in CA this summer!! Not sure how well they'll sell now... I bet the people in Europe wish they could drive gassers but drive diesel for savings.

This URL shows what country's we export the above to every day: http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/dnav/pet/pe...X_mbblpd_m.htm

Gasoline was taxed higher than diesel.
Over 50% of passenger cars sold in Europe are diesel.
