Chrysler Replacement/vehicle Charges?
Anyone that has had a Buy Back/Replacement Vehicle? What charges Did Chrysler charge you??? Such as.... How many cents per mile for (mileage) useaged did they charge you?? ( They want to Charge me $.30 per mile and Did they charge you Documentation/ Title Fees??....(they say I would have to pay them as well) I will be out several Thousand Old MSRP '07 for NEW MSRP of '10 What do you all think? Did you have to go back and forth several times (negotiate) or was Chrsler's word final? Please state what state you had purchased (old vehicle) as well as if you did this through the dealer you purchased at or just another dealer where the replacement was to take place? Not sure whether or not I'm getting ripped off or not... Tired of playing games with Chrsler. But not necessarily want to do the litigation process unless I am getting ripped off or taking advantage of. Not really too keen on losing my 5.9 to go with the 6.7. Thank you for your time.

I have read many post on this forum for past few years. Not too many post directly to the point on charges. (I wasn't trying to be lazy without searching either which I have done...many times. I must admit I might not be the best computer sleuth and don't always get results with the search engine)

Not able to stop/find water leak entering cab. OVER 90 days without use...etc.etc. Many,,Many trips to dealership.... Water leak detection companies,,, Glass Shops.. Sloppy glass shops (broken glass left all over the back seats..rugs..etc...left for me to find a pile of glass) Had Chrysler field service reps..Mulitple times...give their blesson it was fixed... Had DM watch and over see Chrysler Field service techs..and engineer repair///give blesson was fixed) 3 power sliders windows replaced and resealed several times...(last window was a redesigned factory glass) . Several high Center lights replaced/ Resealed..... Multiple damaged panels .....2 DVD players..Cab over lights,,,,weather seals...Sat antenna etc. .. Silicon smell (over powering for now over 1 1/2 months) and other BS. Sorry for long post.... Really,,,, Really PO'd of situatioin. LOve the truck....(engine power...look,,,size etc.) Really tired and lost of confidence in Chrysler though and HOW they treat their customers....and the Chrysler 800 line...of little help. The lack of the dealership/Chrysler 800 Line...through many pleas of request to get the DM involved...went on forever. Trying to keep it short. all took place with less than 18,000 miles..
Didn't want to change from 5.9 to 6.7... (I took some 4 months to locate this new vehicle... I had a choice back then for the 6.7 but wanted this one) For long term .big picture...beyond warranty period Cost of operation, parts more expensive...(like injectors) etc..etc. I didn't want to get involved with emission tampering (delete kits)
Beyond what my personal dislikes (emissions/polution crap.,,egr) of 6.7 I do like what I read about the 2010 model...and interior (better seats) improvements..intergrated tow/brake switch.. better seals around doors...and
backup camera..better electronics etc.
So, I just want NO problems..(for a new vehicle)...like everyone else. I haven't been able to really enjoy the full use of this vehicle without the problems...

Appeared to be from back. had moved from one side to the other in the back...center..to the side.... they had the headliner down//also out... I'm not knocking the dealership... They had several OUTSIDE professionals as well as CHRYSLER EMployees themselves...
I didn't want to get into where, why, how the leak... (been many months...many trips of diagonisis also botch job attempts from professional...via Duct Tape etc. )
and why....(did those questions and answers here and Cummins forum several months ago...with other people's post on water leaks etc.)
I'm just trying to find out...(primarily from people who have gone through this buy/back procedure/ replacement) whether or not the fees are excessive etc. Hence my reason for the post. But I do thank you for your concern and input.
ANYONE WHO'S GONE THROUGH THE PROCEDURE CARE TO ELABORATE??

Here is some threads I found under searching for "dealer buy back" you might try searching for "Lemon law" as well (sounds like you have a case for that vs a buyback) and yes sometimes searching can be a real "bugger" I would do a Google on your states lemon laws as well..
Hope this helps

I had a Ford buy back and I had to pay for the milage on the truck upuntil the problum was first documented at the dealer. I don't rember what the charge per mile was.
The deal doesn't sound to me. Think on the bright side a MSRP on a 2010 crew cab is less then a 2009 quad

Thanks I do appreciate. Not sure if I'll pursue just yet (legal law stuff) I'm in NJ, vehicle purchased from NV dealer from way of NJ... I'm not up enough on the law. I've read some stuff about it from the net.
I need to find a dealer in my area that will have the replacement vehicle that I want option/model wise (I do not want a 6.7 unless it is an '10) May be a while as well . If I order one (I would need to find a dealer willing to do so and that may be a problem) I need to hear from ISG again. Be nice to drive a '10 to see how it is.. we shall see. I will read the threads you provided as well....thank you.
Not doubting your problems, but how hard would it be to pull the headliner out, hit the roof/windows with a water hose and find out where it's leaking? Then fix the leak.
If they've replaced windows, clearance lights, etc to no avail, seems the only other place it could be leaking is the 2 seams on the roof. Seal those up with some good flexible urethane, whatever that stuff is that they seal all the welded and crimped seams with.
If you want to keep the truck otherwise, fix it your self.
I'm sure it's frustrating, but not as much as going for the lemon law will be. I tried that, with arbitration, and long story short, it was the biggest frustrating waste of my time....ever. If you do pursue it, get a lawyer and go straight for the lemon law, don't mess around with arbitration.
