Does anyone have an Excel SS setup for a fuel log?

Just curious if anyone has developed an MS Excel spreadsheet for a neet orderly way to keep fuel milege?

Or any other easy set up for printing out some type of fuel log that's easy to fit in the console.

I'm not real computer savy, so I'm not sure how to make one myself.

TIA

Funny you should mention that.
I just finished updating mine.
I have the following columns:
Fill Date, Mile, Gallons, MPG, Maintenance, Location, Cost, Maintenance Cost, $/mile, Odometer.

I use my trip odometer for the miles and Odometer just as a verification I didn't miss a fillup. $/mile is a combination of fuel cost/miles driven and maintenance cost/odometer. Other than that, everything else is pretty straight forward.

Are you looking for something for the home computer from Excel or just a printout with nice columns for the info.

I'd be glad to whip you up a spreadsheet with whatever you would like to have (printed and the XL file too).

Date, Odometer, Gallons, Price(from pump), MPG (calculated from other columns), what else? $/mile like Fronty suggested?

I do alot of miles for the company. Not including vehicle costs, insureance, and other things I would have anyway, I like to keep a rough idea of how much money im making for using my truck for work.

I just normally jot down the:
date
mileage for the tank
gallons filled up with
computer MPG
actual MPG hand calculated

Never thought about marking the price/gallon, but that could be interesting.

I would like to print up a sheet with rows/columns that I could just write the numbers in and leave it in the truck, and wouldn't utilize the actual home computer to fill in the blanks. Just my chicken scratch. I don't have a clue on how to make it small enough to use and fit in the console. Something like using a normal sheet of paper folded in half lenghtwise and the info on either side would work great.

Wish I wasn't such a sloppy writer and a computer nerd

TIA

Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you what I use. It is really nice and I copied it from someone else, no way I could've come up with this thing.

Not mine and not specifically fuel related but I use the Service Record spreadsheet I got from http://www.cumminsdatabase.com/browse.php?mod=5&part=1 It has a page for fuel and does what I need it to.

This is the direct link to download the .xls file.
