Dodge Caliber, diesel

Saw my first Dodge Caliber yesterday. I also noticed a distinct sticker over the fill door "DIESEL FUEL ONLY".

I slowed down to let the driver get ahead of me. Yep, a blue Michigan OEM plate.

Yes the new Calibers come with the option of a Diesel, plus the option of awd with a 6 speed manual. I'm curiouse as to how good of fuel mileage these thing will get??? The SRT version will have the Next Generation 2.4 WORLD ENGINE pumping out 300hp and 250tq. I have owned two Srt4's and the HP rating is at the wheels------good stuff by MOPAR!!

Ya, after I posted that link I looked around and couldn't find anything saying there was a Diesel option.

A company in Northern Minnesota contracts with DC to test vehicles.
They run Highway 2 from Bemidji to Fosston. I saw the 3rd Gen pickups in full flack jackets (deceiving as a padded bra) for a year before they were unveiled.
I haven't seen much since a pack of blacked out Magnums.
They all have Michigan OEM plates (State of Michigan issued license plate with "MANUFACTURER" on the bottom.

Anyway, I saw this Caliber going through town and noticed the diesel only sticker on the fill door. After looking up the specs, I couldn't find a diesel offering this year. That usually means it should be coming in a year or so.
