You can design your new Dodge Caliber with a 2.1 lt Turbo Diesel and a Gas/Hybrid engine...DC has finally entered a real car market..

The turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel engine gives export Caliber models performance surpassing its gasoline-engine siblings accompanied by superior fuel economy.
I don't know exactly what is meant by "export", but I get the feeling that the Diesel is for Europeans only.

I think 2008 is when Diesel's are going to flood the market, right?

I clicked on the "build your own".

In the R/T awd....it give your a gas, a 2.0 Turbo DIESEL (5400 bucks), and a gas/electric hybrid (3520 bucks).

Base R/T AWD with diesel is over $27,000 Fully loaded its $31,000.

For a Neon/Vibe sized wagonish vehicle???.....

Unless the MPG is 50mpg for the diesel, the gas engine is more cost effective on something small like this. .
