You've got it easy...

35 X $2.559 = $89.57 for a tank of fuel here in New Meadows, Idaho

Still from what I'm hearing is there is NO DIESEL here and we are running out. Idaho is trying to get a shipment it but it will come from Washington. When it does get here it's going to jump to over $2.709!!!!

Strange Unleaded is still $1.899 - Oil shortage my _____!

Well I'm Thankful for the 1996 Dodge which it is a gasser!

Next time I head out to New Meadows I'm going to shoot a pic of the price sign!

Im feelin the brunt a bit. I had a 99 that I sold to the mother. THat thing ran on SVO ( straight Veggie Oil) ANd home made biodiesel. Ran that for 47k 99% of the time ( have to start up and shut down on the home bio or regular diesel)

Neways. Bout the 04 and price was still 15 cents below the gas I got rid of one of the old gassers. And now its this far above gas im like well pooh

But i make myself happy by lookin at this.

Average dodge owner will get around 18. Some better some less.

But over 1000 miles you will use 55.5 gallons of fuel. Or $141.52 cents of fuel at the highest ive seen reported 2.55 cents

Both my gassers got 10-11, ive heard people get 15 but on this board there was a 12 so well take 12

1000/12 will give you 83.3 gallons. I believe he said that the gas price was 2.11 where the diesel was 2.55 So that gasser will cost 175.83 to go the same distance

The diffrence will probably be more drastic in some places. In Clear Lake IA the diffrence between regular unleded and diesel is only 12 cents.

YOur best bet is still to find some vw or something that gets like said 50s per gallon. Life would be good. Might have to get my 83 diesel chevette running again

back in the 70's diesel was about 50% cheaper than petrol here in the UK
now it's 3 or 4 pence dearer per litre which works out at about 18pence per gallon more expensive than unleaded at £3.82 per gall($6.62) that was at yesterdays pump prices. We must have the highest fuel tax in the world.

I have just come back from a holiday in Spain where fuel is just under 50% cheaper than here in the UK it works out at 52pence per litre or £2.54 a gallon in Europe for diesel

Either you have to be rich to aford to drive somewhere or you only drive on special holidays. At $6.62/gal I wouldent even consider owning a truck. I would have a bicycle. It would be a long 8 miles to work every day and awfull cold in the winter but so be it. At my average 25 gallon fillup that would be $165.5. I think I would torch the truck into peices and sell it for scrap. I couldent even give it away at those prices.
