I saved it. Along with the 6 disc CD stereo/ speakers/ bezel, storage bin (behind seat) and tranny cooler line. Don't know why, just did.

I did toss the stock airbox though.

i read somewhere that they are good to keep in the glove box just in case some idiot on the road throws stuff at you, then you can use this to defend yourself with. jk. you never know when you might need it. haha.

Gloves go under the seat right? I put my silencer ring in the glovebox, I dont know why I would ever need it again though.

My wife keeps her gloves in there, cause (my 98) "takes so long to warm up" HAHA. I took my ring out, drove up I-70 to Keystone for the weekend, and put it back in the minute we got home. It was just too loud and piercing pulling hills even w/out a load. I also have an AFE CAI so the turbo screams w/out the ring. I guess Im too old.

Kept mine, FYI, know an ex-cummins air systems engineer and he said to be sure to get the snap ring firmly back in there if you do put it back. Guess he has seen the aftermath if it does come loose.

Heck anybody need a stock muffler. Keep all my old junk.

No problem tooling around town but when the whistle is continuous it gets old fast when you're driving hundreds of miles.

Under the back seat with a bunch of other stuff that I really don't know why I carry around.

The whistle can get a bit old when pulling the stock trailer for several hours, but it reminds me to lighten up on the go pedal.

Both of mine were pulled out and I think I might still have them somewhere. I'm not real sure why I kept them.
