Had it out with the BHAF. Installed the ScottyII and put it back in as it was too much to handle. It was sold with the turbo.

Never took mine out. I like quiet. I made an insulation blanket that fits over the valve cover and one that goes on the oil pan.
I removed the seats and carpet and installed leaded foam on the floor and back of cab then re installed everythiing.
I work at a oil refinery, very noisey all day, that's enough for me.

I took mine out. Lost it somewhere in the garage. Then found it again not too long ago while I was digging around for something else. I'm going to put it back in at some point. Along with the exhaust, all this extra noise is great for cruising around town. But as soon as I hit the highway I wish I didn't have either.

How many people have a small green ball floating around your toolbox next to the discarded ring?

Same here. It was fine till I put the AFE on...then it was deafening. Still whistles plently loud with it in there.

Other than extra noise, why would you remove it?

I found mine in the drivers door storage pocket. I still have stock turbo, exhaust elbow, air box, wheel covers with broken tabs, **** from shifter, headlights, headlight switch from when I added fog lights....basically everthing I've taken off the truck except the shocks and exhaust. I think I might have a problem letting go. And I just recently switched from drw to srw so add to the pile dually wheels, tires, fenders, adapters and lug nuts. I do recycle my oil and filters so maybe the problem is not as bad as I think.

I saved the silencer ring but I just cut the original oil return line to fit it to my Peugeot 504.
